QuickWire and its associated programs, introduced in December, 1992, is a news wire capture and management program that brings standard wire service (i.e. Associated Press) to the desktop in a networked personal computer environment. QuickWire integrates wire news and photo service feeds with word processing, file tracking, file management and desk top publishing. QuickWire enables writers, editors and layout editors to work with wire stories from up to 256 different sources.
Currently, QuickWire is installed in more than 400 sites worldwide, ranging from small daily newspapers to installations integrating as many as 250 seats using Macintosh and Windows based PCs.
